Stories of unlikely connection

Application Deadline:  November 30, 2019

Interviews:  December 2020

Selections: December 2019 – January 2020

Festival:  June 2020

The Dragon and Fuse Theatres are looking for proposals for artists to participate in this year’s Redwood City Play Festival.  We are dedicated to creating a festival that engages our community – both artists and audience – around a theme.  After a successful run of GenderShorts, which explored gender issues from a spectrum of perspectives in 2019, we are bringing RWCPF back with a new theme:
Coexist: stories of unlikely connection.
We are looking for 3 short theatre projects (45-60 min) proposed by an artist/producer with some self-producing experience to partner with Dragon and Fuse. These pieces can be already extant scripts or devised pieces. They can be pieces of traditional or non-traditional theatre.
We are also seeking artists of all disciplines interested in creating companion art, and experiences around the play festival to exhibit as part of the festival. These may be installed at the Dragon Theatre, as well as at other local businesses and public spaces around downtown Redwood City.
