Artist Community
The Artist Community is at the heart of Fuse Theatre. We work with writers, directors, performers, and more.

We are NOW accepting new project proposals!
Fuse Theatre is currently accepting proposals for our next wave of performance projects. Please complete the Project Proposal form by Monday, November 6th. Select artists will then be invited to a virtual pitch night on Sunday, November 17th.
The Sparks Artist Collective and Fuse Board will be evaluating project proposals based on the following criteria:

Volunteer Opportunities
As a nonprofit theatre company, Fuse Theatre relies on donations and volunteers to help develop and produce our projects. We appreciate any time and effort that you’re willing to contribute - be that behind the scenes or in front, creative or administrative functions, or working with community partners. We could use assistance with Volunteer Roles such as:

Join the Team
Board Director
Fuse Theatre is currently accepting inquiries from community members interested in joining our Board of Directors. Fuse is a nonprofit (501c3) organization that focuses on theatre for social justice. Much of our work is for youth and families. Our goal is to work with and in communities through the art of theatre-making. We take pride in making theatre accessible for all audiences.
We are a project-based company that pays all of our artists. Our board members have a strong desire to support the powerful experiences that theatre gives the communities and the importance of making theatre. Specifically we are interested in recruiting new members who have background in legal advising, and/or fundraising/development.
Preferred qualifications for ideal candidates:

A passion for theatre, equity, and/or social justice.

Professional experience in business, theatre, government, law, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector.

A natural affinity for cultivating relationships among diverse individuals.

Personal qualities of integrity and credibility.

Program Coordinator
Fuse Theatre is currently seeking a Program Coordinator for our Connect and Play Program.
​
The Connect and Play Program supports Fuse’s productions for youth and families projects. This includes local tours of bilingual productions - both original and published plays that amplify diverse stories and characters for families and youth. Productions in 2023 include: Tomás and the Library Lady, Cinderella Eats Rices and Beans, and What We Remember.
​
Ideal candidates would be local to the Bay Area, available for in-person and virtual meetings. Must connect with
partnering organizations for tour. Work closely with the Operations Team and directors on all facets of the tour. Must have working knowledge of play production and/or stage management. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Opportunity for additional roles within program (ie: could take on the role of touring SM if desired.)

Stage Managers
Fuse is currently adding several Stage Managers to our team for a variety of productions and events. Please send a resume to info@fusetheatre.org after completing the application linked below.

Connect and Play - a touring TYA program;currently scheduled for 3 productions in 2023 - 2024

Therapy Sessions (as part of our Ignite Artists Program) original work production with 9 performances. (IMMEDIATE)

Cabaret Nights as part of Community Connections - single night community events approximately 4x per year. (IMMEDIATE)

Teatro para Árboles - A new program which will have community events and productions focused on the environment. (FUTURE)
