Why We Created "Bloom"
A Letter from the Producer
We are thrilled to share with you Fuse Theatre’s newest production, "Bloom: A Sensory Adventure." At Fuse Theatre, our mission has always been to expand access to the arts and create inclusive spaces where everyone, including our youngest audience members, can experience the magic of theater. With "Bloom," we are taking a significant step towards fulfilling this mission by making room for children with diverse sensory processing needs who are not always included in traditional theatrical settings.

"Bloom: A Sensory Adventure" offers young audiences a uniquely immersive experience at the theatre. Designed for children aged 3-5 and their caregivers, this interactive, sensory-rich experience invites young audiences to jump in and join our four critter characters on their adventure. Through songs, movement, and sensory activities, children are not just audience members but active participants in our story, exploring different parts of the tree and working together to help it bloom.

Creating this show has been a labor of love. Our creative team has poured our hearts into crafting a story that is not only engaging but also deeply inclusive. We have partnered with occupational therapist Ellada Yakubova and Fuse’s resident disability advocate Christine Burke to ensure our production is accessible to a wide range of children. Our carefully crafted interactive elements cater to children with various needs and make the experience of “Bloom” both memorable and inclusive.

What makes "Bloom" truly special is the emphasis on audience interaction and sensory engagement. From the "Good Morning Song" that welcomes everyone with music and ASL, to the imaginative play and problem-solving activities with Squirrel, Ant, Bee, and Bird, every moment is designed to immerse children in the magic of this story.
Each element of the show is also crafted to teach important values such as teamwork, community, and the wonders of nature, all while ensuring that children of diverse abilities can join in the adventure. Our goal is to create an environment where every child feels included in the fun and empowered to participate in their own way.

Thank you for your support and for joining us on this incredible journey! Together, we can create magical, inclusive experiences that inspire children and foster a lifelong love for the arts.
